An archive of the mid-century furniture, lighting, and objects that came with the house or belong to its history. Not decor: provenance. Where we know the era and maker, we record it. Where we don't, we record the story instead.

A small built-in wall cabinet with outside and inside access. It let milkmen drop off fresh glass bottles and pick up empties without entering the house. By the 1950s, home refrigerators and supermarkets made daily milk delivery obsolete, and these architectural pass-throughs faded away. We kept ours in the kitchen. It feels special.

Part of the original construction, so technically not furniture at all. We resisted every suggestion to paint it. The lower cabinets still have the first owner's pencil marks inside.

No. 003Estate sale find
Found twenty minutes from the house at an estate sale, which felt right. It was rewired, gently polished, and now lights the reading chair by the fireplace wall. No shopping link for this one. That is rather the point.
Found with the house
From 1950 to now: the pieces stay, and the house keeps its memory.
